On timberframe
Timberframe pavilions and pool houses designed from the property — heavy-timber joinery where the structure itself is the finish.
The argument
Most outdoor structures are purchased, not designed. A kit pavilion from a manufacturer. A pergola from a catalog. Something that looks like an afterthought, because it was.
What we build starts from the property — its grade, its sight lines, the way the afternoon sun moves across the yard. Timberframe construction means exposed heavy timber joinery: the structure itself is the finish material. No cladding over a steel frame. No pressure-treated lumber painted to look like something it isn’t.
A pool house that the house respects. A pavilion that makes the patio make sense. Structures designed to look like they were always supposed to be there.
